PROJECT RECOVERY

Health, Stability, Connection, Empowerment

An ongoing initiative that facilitates recovery from substance use disorders by providing care for pets and service animals while their owners undergo treatment.

Our organization has established a highly successful and impactful program that protects the human animal bond.  We provide a safe haven for animals during their owners’ detox and treatment, preventing rehoming, abandonment, and euthanasia—especially for vulnerable, unhoused, and unemployed individuals.

With up to 90 days of free boarding, including vaccinations, spaying/neutering, nutrition, grooming, and transportation, we ensure pets are cared for with compassion and expertise.

SUPPORTING BOTH ENDS OF THE LEASH

We go beyond basic care by integrating comprehensive aftercare and employment support for the pet parent, such as paid ride shares and job placement through our partner, Serenity Paws,  justice plan coaching, pet health and training compliance, housing guidance,  assistance in overcoming barriers that come with being a pet parent,  and peer support, all of which foster long-term stability for both pets and their owners.
